Winnipeg police raided Your Medical Cannabis Headquarters on Main Street on Tuesday and have now charged its owner.

Officers said they seized about two pounds of cannabis marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia.

Supporters of Glenn Price and his store previously held a rally outside Winnipeg police headquarters and Price had temporarily closed his store, before re-opening last month, despite police warnings.

Police say only licensed producers approved by Health Canada can produce and provide medical marijuana.

On Wednesday, police said Price, 54, faces several charges, including trafficking in a scheduled substance and possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
