Winnipeg police arrested a suspect in a child luring case in which the victim was enticed to send sexually-explicit images.

Earlier in July, officers learned that a 12-year-old girl had been coerced into sexually-explicit conversations over three months, which included sending images via cellphone, said police.

The Internet child exploitation unit launched an investigation.

The suspect continued to engage in sending sexually-explicit photos and messages, said police.

On July 30, a 33-year-old suspect turned himself in at the request of police.

His name has not yet been released by police and word on charges has also not yet been announced.
