TORONTO - Police are asking for the public's help finding a man wanted in connection with six separate bank robberies in Toronto and Winnipeg over the last few weeks.

They say Corey Richardson, 44, is believed to be somewhere in downtown Toronto, where he is originally from.

But they warn he should be considered armed and dangerous and anyone who sees him should not approach him but call 911.

Four of the robberies were in downtown Toronto and two were in Winnipeg, and police say all six have taken place since June 18.

In the most recent robbery -- Wednesday in Toronto -- police say the robber handed the teller a note, demanded money and then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Richardson is described as black, about five feet six inches tall with a medium build and police say he has a tattoo of Malcolm X on his right upper arm and the word "Kim" with a rose on his right calf.
