Shawn Lamb is charged with first-degree murder for the deaths of three women in Winnipeg. On Tuesday, he spoke to media from within the remand centre while awaiting trial.

(I’m) anxious to have my day in court so the truth will come out," said Lamb.

Earlier this week, there were media reports Lamb had information about five other unsolved murder cases.

On Feb. 26, he said there is misinformation circulating publicly.

“No, I’m not a killer,” said Lamb.

“Those who know me, know me as a good person,” he said.

“I think that this man is playing mind games but at the same time I don’t think we should put it aside because it's important to follow any kind of leads,” said Jo Seenie Redsky.

Redsky helped form a women’s coalition after Lamb was arrested to make sure the deaths of aboriginal women don’t get overlooked by police.

Police charged Lamb in June 2012 for the deaths of Tanya Nepinak, Carolyn Sinclair and Lorna Blacksmith.

Gail Nepinak’s sister Tanya was murdered more than a year ago. Tanya’s body has never been found.

“It makes us feel like…she's a nobody. She's just forgotten,” said Gail.

It’s believed Tanya's remains are buried somewhere within the Brady Road Landfill. Winnipeg police said an extensive search of the area can’t be completed because of inconsistent information, which is believed to be coming from Shawn Lamb.

The remains of Sinclair and Blacksmith were found wrapped in plastic last year. Sinclair was pregnant at the time she was killed. Her remains were found next to a dumpster in March 2012, after police received a tip. Blacksmith’s remains were found in a West End back yard, just two blocks away, in June 2012.

Lamb was charged later that month.

When asked prior to the interview with Lamb if she wanted CTV to ask him anything specific, Gail said she just wanted to know where her sister’s body is located.

Lamb would only say Tuesday he hopes Tanya's family will one day get closure.

He appeared relaxed in the interview Feb. 26.

The interview with Lamb was limited to 15 minutes and no recording devices were allowed, except for paper and a pencil, following on his conditions for conducting the interview.
