RCMP arrested a man Monday afternoon after he attempted to go through airport security at James Richardson International Airport with an unloaded gun in his carry-on luggage.

RCMP said the man was travelling to Toronto from Winnipeg when Canadian Air Transport Security Authority found a gun in the man’s garment bag he attempted to clear through security.

When the gun was found RCMP said there was no ammunition and the gun was not loaded.
