Rob Kmet completed the 24 hour car push challenge, and although he did not beat the world record, he managed to raise $10,000.

Kmet pushed the 24 hundred pound car around the track at Gimli Motorsports Park since 8 a.m. Friday morning. He pushed the entire 24 hours, a personal goal he set for himself prior to the push.

He managed to complete 35 laps, falling short of the 51 lap world record. Siloam Mission said his biggest challenge was the whipping wind. At some points during the push, winds picked up to 50 km per hour.

The fundraiser was originally designed to help the Siloam Mission, but was dedicated to Oanh Pham who died in a pedestrian-car collision. A portion of the money will be donated to her family.

Siloam Mission says that donations are still being accepted. Their goal is $ 25,000.
