RCMP said a 46-year-old man is dead after he slipped on ice and was hit by a vehicle on a road in South Indian Lake Saturday night.
RCMP said it happened around 9:50 p.m. on Anderson Road.
Investigators learned that the man had been walking along the roadway when he slipped and fell. Visibility was poor, the road conditions were slippery and it was snowing, RCMP said.
The 64-year-old woman who was driving the vehicle reported the incident to police.
RCMP said alcohol and speed were not factors.
South Indian Lake is about a 15-hour drive north of Winnipeg.
