An investigation into a double stabbing in the North End on Saturday is now a homicide investigation after one of the victims succumbed to his injuries.

John James Allan Lund, 25, died after he and another man were stabbed at a house party in the 400 block of Pritchard Avenue. Police said the two were socializing at a residence around 2:15 a.m. when an argument erupted. A third man grabbed a weapon and stabbed the two men.

The suspect ran away and was arrested a short time later.

Anton Joseph Biggeorge, 22, is charged with second degree murder and attempted murder.

In a separate incident, another man was stabbed in the 400 block of Mountain Avenue around 4:30 a.m. The victim was taken to hospital but died of his injuries around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Police have not released the victim’s name, but a family member told CTV that it was 30-year-old Michael James Keith Flett.

Police have not arrested any suspects in this case and the investigation is ongoing.
