RCMP believe seatbelt use was a factor in a rollover that killed a 29-year-old man early Saturday morning.

Around 4:30 a.m. a minivan carrying three people drove off the road and rolled at least once when it was driving south on Highway 278, RCMP said.

The 21-year-old female driver and a 29-year-old man weren’t injured in the crash, but another passenger, a 29-year-old man, was thrown from the van.

RCMP said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s name will not be released, and RCMP continue to investigate the crash.
