Officers have a suspect in custody after a 14-year-old boy was forcibly taken from his home and assaulted, said Portage la Prairie RCMP.
Multiple police units responded around 7 a.m. on Nov. 24 to the 600 block of Spruce Bay in Portage la Prairie.
The suspect was arrested at the scene.
Isadore Vermette, 51, of Portage la Prairie faces charges for break and enter, kidnapping, unlawful confinement, assault and uttering threats, said RCMP.
