RCMP say the body of a 29-year-old man was found Tuesday morning in Footprint Lake, which is near the Nisichawayasihk First Nation (Nelson House).

The man was reported missing on Monday after not being seen for three days, say RCMP.

Nelson House RCMP and members of the First Nation searched the community, surrounding trails and nearby water for the missing man.

His name will not be released, but officers said the man was from the Nisichawayasihk First Nation.

An autopsy will be conducted, but officers said foul play is not suspected.

RCMP continue to investigate the whereabouts of the victim before his body was discovered in the lake.
