Police say the man wanted in connection to the death of a Gods Lake Narrows man turned himself in Tuesday morning.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Arnold Philip Harper on May 30 by the Winnipeg Police Service.

The 32-year-old suspect turned himself in at the Public Safety Building and has been charged with manslaughter not involving a firearm.

Officers were called to the St. Regis hotel in the 200 block of Smith Street on May 21 around 11:30 a.m. after hotel staff found a man dead inside a suite. Police identified the victim as Leslie Alex Okemow, 29, of Gods Lake Narrows.

Harper remains in custody at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.
