Friends and family of Rocelyn Gabriel held a media event Tuesday and pleaded for information about the woman’s death.
The 20-year-old’s body was discovered in January next to a recycling depot in Portage La Prairie.
Conditions at the time were described as near blizzard-like and the temperature was near -40 degrees.
The family has concerns because they doubt Gabriel would have walked right past her home in such frigid conditions.
The woman was seen on surveillance video outside the depot where she spent over two hours attempting to flag down vehicles and keep warm.
The family wants anyone who knows anything more about what happened to Gabriel to call police or Crime Stoppers.
