Manitoba Moose back in town as AHL returns to Winnipeg

After a four year hiatus, the Manitoba Moose will return to the ice at MTS Centre next season as the American Hockey League comes back to Winnipeg.

True North Sports and Entertainment made the announcement at a press conference Monday morning.

The Moose will sport jerseys with a similar logo to the original AHL team that played in the city between 1996 and 2011, but updated to include the same colours as the Winnipeg Jets.

The team will share the arena with the NHL’s Jets and will serve as that club’s farm team.
