A tree to help ease the pain of grief during the holiday season will be on display at St. Vital Centre.

This year marks the 20th annual Hospice and Palliative Care Manitoba launching of the Memory Tree. The Memory Tree provides a  way for people grieving a loss to acknowledge and remember loved ones during the holiday season.

The public is welcome to attend the ceremony Tuesday at St. Vital Centre at 10:00 a.m. There is also an opportunity to write a personal message on a card and hang it on the tree. Annually, 2,500 to 3,000 cards are placed on the tree.

The tree will be open to the public until Dec. 24 during mall hours.
