RCMP confirmed Wednesday a body found on Oct. 27 in Pembina Valley Provincial Park is that of Travis Sukkau, 19, from Winkler.
On Friday, they said the death has been ruled "non-criminal in nature."
Sukkau had been reported missing on Oct. 23 after going to the park to take photographs and failing to return home.
Crews carried out extensive searches to locate him in the park, south of Winkler.
Sukkau’s father posted a photo of his son on Facebook Wednesday, offering an emotional message and saying goodbye for now.
