An all-day kindergarten pilot project will soon begin in four Winnipeg School Division facilities.

Mark Wasyliw of the Winnipeg School Division said Wellington, John M. King, Strathcona and Norquay schools will offer the program starting in September.

Each of those schools will be able to accommodate up to 20 students.

Government funding wouldn’t cover putting the pilot project in all of the schools.

Wasyliw hopes the pilot project will show the value of all-day kindergarten and spark more funding.
