The Assiniboine Park Zoo announced the arrival of a male baby muskox born on May 15.

The baby is currently on exhibit for visitors to see in the Journey to Churchill.

“It’s certainly been an exciting week here at the zoo,” said Dr. Chris Enright, the head of veterinary service at Assiniboine Park Zoo, in a news release on Friday.

In addition to the baby muskox, two snow leopard cubs were also born, but remain out of the exhibit with their mother.

“All of the newborns are healthy and happy. It looks like it’s going to be a beautiful weekend and the perfect time for people to visit the zoo and meet the new muskox,” said Enright.
