The Winnipeg Blue Bombers made a huge splash as CFL free agency opened Tuesday.

The Bombers were the early winners as they signed Canadian running back and Winnipeg-raised Andrew Harris. Harris gives the Bombers the biggest threat they have had in the back field since Charles Roberts.

Also being added to Winnipeg’s roster, receiver Ryan Smith, who led the Saskatchewan Roughriders in receiving yardage and touchdowns last season.

Canadian defensive lineman Keith Shologan leaves Ottawa after two years to join Winnipeg as well.

The first signing of the day was kicker Justin Medlock. He has the distinction as the most accurate field goal kicker in CFL history.

Blue Bombers General Manager Kyle Walters is still working into the night looking for more deals.
