Canada Post wants to know if it’s owed any money over the construction of its mail plant.

The mail giant says it’s filed a court application requesting access to RCMP materials, related to the plant, that were seized as part of the Mounties ongoing investigation.

In January, RCMP confirmed it began a probe into the mail processing facility near Winnipeg’s airport that was constructed by Caspian construction.

In December 2014 RCMP raided Caspian’s offices in connection to the investigation into the Downtown police headquarters building. In court documents RCMP allege a binder was found with hand written notes that suggested there were both true and inflated invoices for the mail plant project.

None of the allegations have been proven in court.

RCMP told CTV it’s aware of Canada Post’s application and it will be dealt with through the court process.

In a statement Canada Post says it does not want to comment further as this is an open police probe.
