The City of Winnipeg dealt with a number of future commercial and housing projects on Tuesday.

The property and development committee passed the Corydon-Osborne area plan. It outlines future parks, street scrapping, building restrictions and parking for the area.

That committee also passed the Precinct E plan for new housing in northwest Winnipeg.

Coun. Jenny Gerbasi (Fort Rouge - East Fort Garry) voted against it, worried the city can't afford to pay for services for large new neighbourhoods.

"Growth isn't paying for growth," said Gerbasi.

And, finally the Kenaston snow dump is almost history.

The committee passed the sale of the site for $5.2 million.

The land could be converted into a mixed use of commercial and office space with some housing.
