Fire crews responded to two separate house fires on Young Street Saturday night.

Officials said the first blaze broke out in a home at 218 Young St. shortly before 11 p.m. They said flames were visible in a first-floor suite. The occupants of the home were able to get out on their own.

Crews were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.

A second fire broke out about half-an-hour later at 285 Young St., officials said.

A medic supervisor reported the fire when they saw smoke.

Crews said the fire originated in a pile of clothing inside the home.

The occupants were able to exit the home on their own.

No injuries were reported in either incident.

The investigation into both fires is ongoing.
