A crash on the Trans-Canada Highway at Provincial Road 206 sent a cyclist to hospital with non-life threatening injuries Monday morning.

RCMP said the cyclist, a 27-year old woman, was struck by a Honda CRV travelling at 100 km/h just before 11:30 a.m.

RCMP said the cyclist attempted to cross the highway when she was struck by the CRV and thrown into the ditch.

The woman was transported to hospital where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP said the driver of the vehicle was not injured but the passenger was also treated for minor injuries due to glass shattering.
