Winnipeg police have made an arrest nearly four years after a sexual assault in St. Boniface.
On the afternoon of July 31, 2011, a 20-year-old woman was attacked, knocked unconscious and sexually assaulted in the 400 block of Langevin Street.
A witness intervened and the suspect took off.
DNA evidence was collected by investigators.
Last week, police were finally able to make a match and arrest a suspect.
Emery Miles McLeod, 41, faces a charge for sexual assault causing bodily harm, said police.
