Gas prices have dropped and are now a little over a dollar per litre.

A petroleum analyst with GasBuddy.com says prices should continue to ease slightly, but it’s a different story in eastern Canada, where prices are expected to creep up over the weekend.

Analysts said, overall, the gasoline market is in a downward trend as refineries switch over to cheaper winter gas.
