The 103rd Grey Cup is sold out.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers made the announcement Friday afternoon.

A week filled with fan festivities culminates with the championship game on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at Investors Group Field between the Ottawa Redblacks and Edmonton Eskimos.

“We would like to thank Winnipeg Blue Bomber fans, CFL fans from across the country, and all of our corporate partners for making this game a sell-out,” said Winnipeg Blue Bombers President and CEO Wade Miller in a news release.

The weekend festivities got underway with Grey Cup fever heating up Friday morning.

CFL commissioner Jeffrey Orridge met with fans at the Fairmont hotel.

BC Lions fan Kyle Dunn of Surrey was in attendance to hear the commissioner speak and to get a glimpse of the Grey Cup.

He was wearing a hat which he said is symbolic of Grey Cup week.

"I came in last night, had a few, out 'til four a.m.,” said Dunn. “So quick turnaround and then back out again.”

Dunn’s hat features an empty beer can, two empty energy drink cans and a mini Grey Cup in the middle of the hat.

He said there’s so much going on during Grey Cup he barely gets any sleep.

"Usually it's 14 hours of sleep for the whole weekend and just go with it and recover,” said Dunn.

A recovery which takes time.

“I take the next week off,” he said.
