Winnipeg-based Islamic Social Services Association spearheaded a project to prevent homegrown terrorism.

Along with the National Council of Canadian Muslims and the RCMP, the group released a handbook called United Against Terrorism with pages providing information to help understand extremist messages on Canadian Muslim youth and prevent radicalization involving violence.

Fourteen months ago, the Islamic Social Services Association asked for a resource.

The handbook will be launched nationally and is also available online (PDF).
