One of the rebel five former cabinet ministers in Greg Selinger’s government is running federally.
Sources tell CTV that Southdale MLA Erin Selby is expected to announce Friday she will run for the federal NDP nomination in St. Boniface.
Dan Vandal is carrying the Liberal banner in the riding. The Conservative candidate is Francois Catellier and Glenn Zaretski is running for the Green Party.
Selby helped lead a rebellion against Selinger over low polling numbers connected to the PST hike. Selinger narrowly survived a leadership contest in the spring.
