Manitoba’s job market shifted toward more full time jobs, according to the latest employment numbers released Friday morning.

The provincial jobless rate rose to 6.1 per cent last month, up from six per cent in March.

Employers added 1,200 full time jobs, but over 4,000 part time jobs disappeared in Manitoba.

Winnipeg’s unemployment rate was unchanged at 6.3 per cent last month.

Nationally, the jobless rate held steady at 7.1 per cent.
