A new poll found Manitobans planning to cast a vote in the next federal and provincial elections would support both the federal and provincial Conservative parties.

The survey by Probe Research found Stephen Harper and the Conservatives have the support of 43 per cent of decided Manitoba voters.

The Liberals, led by Justin Trudeau are second place with 29 per cent of support from decided voters.

The Liberals support is up 17 per cent since the last federal election in 2011.

Support for Thomas Mulcair's and the NDP was the lowest at 23 per cent, down 3 points from 20 to11.

"A large part of that has to do with the fact the provincial party has been polling very poorly for some time, and has been dragging down the NDP brand in the province," said Probe Research Vice-President Curtis Brown.

The survey also analyzed provincial politics. It found Brian Pallister and the Tories placed in the top spot with 46 per cent support among decided voters.

Greg Selinger and the NDP came in second place with 29 per cent support.

Rana Bokari and the Liberals retain 19 per cent support.

The province-wide survey was conducted between June 10 and June 27 among a random sampling of 1000 Manitoba adults.

The next federal election takes place October 16, 2015.

The next provincial election takes place April 19, 2016.
