A 38-year-old man will not face murder charges after a stabbing death in the spring.

Police said the man was walking near Dufferin Avenue and Salter Street on April 19 when a 17-year-old boy and 18-year-old man tried to rob him.

The 38-year-old man took out a weapon and, while trying to defend himself, stabbed both of them, said police.

The 17-year-old later died in hospital from his injuries.

After reviewing the case, the Crown has decided not to lay charges against the 38-year-old man, said police.
