Two people were assaulted early Saturday morning while they were out taking part in one of the many celebrations around downtown.
Grey Cup festivities were in full swing Friday night when a 27-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman assaulted in the 200 block of Hargrave Street around 1:30 a.m. Police said it appears the two were partying and something went wrong.
Police took one person into custody.
The assault was one of a handful of incidents the police dealt with over Friday night. With thousands of visitors in the city, police have focused their efforts on helping people and ensuring they have a safe time.
