Police released the name of the victim of a fatal stabbing on Victor Street.
Beatrice Ann Crane, 44-years-old, died from injuries she suffered when she was stabbed inside a suite in the 500 block of Victor around 3 a.m. on Friday.
Paramedics rushed her to hospital in critical condition, but she died shortly after she arrived.
Police are still conducting interviews and have not yet laid any charges.
Winnipeg police have had contact with Crane in the past including, assault, theft, domestic related issues, as we as alcohol related issues.
Police say there is no question this is a homicide.
