The Winnipeg Police Service is investigating two armed commercial robberies.

The first incident allegedly happened around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014 in the 1500 block of Logan Avenue.

According to police, a man with his identity concealed and armed with a weapon, entered the store and demanded money.

He received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot, said police.

No one was injured in the incident.

The man is described as between 18-20 years of age, five feet nine inches to six feet one inches tall (175 - 185 cm), with a skinny build and high-pitched voice.

On the same evening, police received a call about a commercial robbery in the 1000 block of Notre dame Avenue just before 9:30 p.m.

Police said a man armed with a weapon demanded money from the store employee but fled without any cash when another customer entered the store.

According to police, the same man went to a second business in the same building and demanded money.

The employee of the second store ran into an office where he saw the suspect steal merchandise and then flee on foot.

The man is described as white, 20-40 years of age, five feet four inches to five feet six inches tall (163 - 168 cm), tall with a slim to medium build.
