A new poll by CIBC says that Prairie shoppers are furthest behind in their holiday shopping.

According to CIBC,73 per cent of people polled in Manitoba and Saskatchewan haven't finished their holiday shopping. Ontarians are second, with 67 per cent reporting that they're not done. Overall, 64 per cent of Canadians are still scrambling for presents.

Shoppers CTV News talked to on Dec. 19 are almost done their holiday buying. Most said they try to do it all in one day.

People also said there are benefits to late holiday shopping. Many stores offer last-minute sales to entice bargain seekers.

The CIBC survey was conducted online between Dec. 12 and Dec. 14 amongst 1,507 random Canadians.
