A long-time NDP MLA will seek re-election April 19th.

Eric Robinson is running again in the Keewatinook constituency.

“Eric has been a strong voice for Indigenous peoples and the North for over 20 years, and we are proud that Eric is running to continue to make northern Manitoba a better place,” said NDP leader Greg Selinger.

Robinson, a member of Cross Lake First Nation, has held a number of positions within the Selinger government that include Deputy Premier and Minister of Aboriginal and Northern Affairs.

Several New Democrats announced their resignation in advance of the April election, such as Gord Mackintosh, Jennifer Howard, Nancy Allan, Jim Rondeau, Theresa Oswald and Stan Struthers.
