Railway repairs to shut section of the Perimeter Highway down Thanksgiving weekend

Drivers who use a section of the north Perimeter Highway will have to find an alternate route for a few days, starting Friday night.

Repairs at the CN rail crossing on the Perimeter, north of PTH 15, will be made over the Thanksgiving weekend.

As a result, the province advises both north and southbound lanes of the Perimeter will close.

The closure will start at 7 p.m. Friday night and last until about 3 p.m. on Monday.

Long-combination vehicles needing access to the Perimeter north of the city will have to take the long way around via the south Perimeter, and other large trucks will need to find approved alternate routes.
