RCMP said testing came back negative for dangerous chemicals after unusual items were sent to six Manitoba courthouses on April 8.

The packages were sent to courthouses in Winnipeg, Brandon, Thompson, Morden, Minnedosa and Churchill.

Police said the substances were tested by RCMP or the Office of the Fire Commissioner.

“The packages appear to have originated from China, and similar packages have been received in court offices in other parts of Canada. The investigation continues,” said RCMP.
