Three people are in custody after they led RCMP on a chase for an hour through Southern Manitoba Thursday night.
Around 6:30 p.m., RCMP stopped a sedan with British Columbia license plates on the Trans-Canada Highway just west of Headingley.
The car took off and officers gave chase. They used a spike belt to flatten the suspect vehicle’s tires near Poplar Point.
Police caught up with the suspects north of Fannystelle around 7:30 p.m.
They arrested a man and two women. Charges are pending.
The pursuit involved RCMP from Headingley, Stonewall, Carman and Lundar as well as Portage Traffic Services and Headingley Rural Detachment.
