In an effort to clean the city’s streets, Winnipeggers along with city departments are coming together to address issues on and around Selkirk Avenue.

Hundreds of volunteers are pitching in - from planting gardens and veggies, to assisting in tearing down abandoned and burnt down buildings.

Winnipeg police, community groups, and faith based organizations are working together to create safer streets and stronger communities.

The general cleanup started on Friday and continues through Saturday till 4:00 p.m.
