Winnipeg police have arrested a third suspect for the shooting that claimed the life of Jordan Dennis Houle, 24, and sent another man to hospital in serious condition in September.

Police and emergency crews were called to the 600 block of Maryland Street shortly before 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 29.

Houle was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was rushed to hospital in critical condition, but died from injuries.

A 19-year-old man was transported to hospital in serious condition, and was later upgraded to stable.

Houle is the second sibling in his family to die within the last three years. In June 2009, Houle’s sister Cherisse was found dead in a creek near Rosser. An autopsy was conducted on Cherisse’s body, but medical examiners were unable to determine whether or not Cherisse was murdered.

Police previously announced two suspects were arrested for the fatal shooting of Jordan.

Michael Frank Okemow, 24, and Edward Arthur Coutu, 27, both of Winnipeg, have been charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder, said police.

On Friday morning, officers announced a third arrest.

Clinton Jordan McKenzie, 20, has been charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder, said police.
