A North End fire sent one woman to hospital and caused extensive damage to a home Sunday afternoon.

Crews rushed to a home in the 600 block of Selkirk Avenue just before 1:30 p.m. to find smoke billowing out of the windows.

A woman who was inside the home when the fire broke out had to be taken to hospital for smoke inhalation. She is in stable condition, fire officials said.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire, and no one else was injured in the blaze.

Fire officials estimate $125,000 worth of damage was done to the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
