Two more suspects have been arrested and charged in connection to the death of a 29-year-old man eight years ago.

Back on Oct. 4, 2006, officers said two men were outside a residence in the 500 block of Magnus Avenue.

Steven Pelletier, 29, was lured and forced into a house where he was seriously assaulted by a suspect, said police.

A firearm was pulled out and fired at Pelletier, who died from injuries, said police.

Officers said the suspect and associates moved the body to a secluded area outside of the city.

In November 2006, the victim’s family filed a missing persons report.

Following a long-term investigation by the homicide and missing persons units, police identified a suspect.

On Jan. 17, 2014, officers arrested and charged Darrel Lavallee, 32, for second-degree murder while he was already incarcerated at Stony Mountain Institution.

Today, Winnipeg police announced additional arrests.

Police say Tomas Bell Francey, 36, was arrested in downtown Winnipeg and Ronald Allan Sobotkiewicz, 50, was arrested in Winnipegosis by the RCMP.

Both men have been charged with accessory after the fact to murder due to their alleged involved.

Both were detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.

Police say the investigation continues.
