Winnipeg police have laid multiple sex-related charges against Darrell Ackman.

Ackman, 43, of Winnipeg drew attention for posting videos of women outside bars on YouTube and wearing Winnipeg Jets paraphernalia, calling himself “Mr. Jetz TV.”

Ackman had no official connection with the team. In January, he was also criticized for filming women at a gym without their permission and posting it online.

Police launched an investigation in November 2011. Officers said the vice unit was looking at suspects who prey on at-risk youth.

On Wednesday, police said progress in the investigation had led to Ackman being charged with living off the avails of prostitution, sexual assault, sexual interference, possessing child pornography, make print or publish child pornography and invitation to sexual touching.

Officers said so far, they do not have evidence of pornography being posted online, but said they do have evidence videos were made for the purpose of being sold.

Four victims under the age of 18 have been identified, with police seeking out another eight youths who are possible victims or witnesses.

Police said more charges are pending.

Anyone with information that may help the investigation is urged to call police.
