Winnipeg police are appealing to the public for help locating a suspect in a connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident in October.

A 31-year-old man died after being hit by a car at the intersection of Marbury Road and Mapleglen Drive on Oct. 26, around 2:40 a.m.

An argument broke out between the occupants of two vehicles, possibly over manner of driving, police said. The occupants of a black Infiniti G35 stopped in the area and the victim exited the vehicle. That's when police believe the other driver drove towards him at a high rate of speed and struck him.

Police said they have exhausted all methods trying to find the suspect, 24-year-old Terrence Jack McKay. They said he lived in Winnipeg at one point, but they are not sure if he is still in Manitoba and are unsure if he has fled.

The victim and suspect were not known to one another, police said.
