Police were on-scene on Wall Street between Portage and Wolever Avenues Wednesday. They closed the area to traffic late Wednesday morning, but re-opened it around 4 p.m.
Several units were brought in, including the bomb unit. Sources say something was detonated in the back alley. Neighbouring homes were evacuated.
RCMP said over 140 Winnipeg police officers are working with them on Project DILEMMA, which started in August 2012.
