One man is in custody after police said they foiled an “exciting” carjacking early Friday morning in the West End.

Police said around 1 a.m. in the area of Sargent Avenue and Spence Street, a man forced another man into his own vehicle.

The victim was then forced to drive to an ATM and withdraw cash. The suspect dumped the victim and took off with the vehicle.

Police spotted the stolen vehicle and arrested the suspect.

The victim suffered minor injuries. All of his stolen items were returned. The suspect remains in custody.
