Winnipeg police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted a woman in the Burrows area early Saturday morning.

Around 8 a.m., a 27-year-old woman was walking near Tyndall Avenue and Keewatin Street when a man approached her and sexually assaulted her, according to police.

The woman was able to break free from the man and fled the area.

Police are now looking for a man who looks to be about 20 years old and is aboriginal in appearance. He is between five-foot-eight and five-foot-ten (172 to 178 centimetres) with a medium build and a thin moustache. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and carrying a backpack at the time of the assault, police said.
