Manitobans curious about the safety of their vehicles can take advantage of a free resource Sunday.

Winnipeg police and MPI are offering free vehicle inspections from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The inspection clinic will offer inspections and informational safety check sheets. Anyone who has safety defects or infractions will not be issued any offence notices or notices of reinspection.

Police said they hope the event will help increase safety for motorists across the province.

The clinic has increased the number of inspectors this year to reduce wait times for motorists.

Anyone interested in having their vehicle inspected can go to the MPI service centre at 420 Pembina Highway from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
