Concern over the safety of Pokémon Go players has led police to set up a booth at The Forks on Friday.

Winnipeg police cadets will host a Safety With Pokémon Go event between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m. They’ll offer players a spot to charge their station, along with safety tips for players “of all ages.”

This comes after several people at The Forks Market were assaulted Monday evening. Four men were arrested and face assault and robbery charges.

At the time, police said a few victims may have been playing Pokémon Go at the time, but it’s not believed to be the reason they were attacked.
